Cream Expands Development Team

(Realscreen) — Toronto-based Cream Productions is expanding its development team with a pair of key hires.

Sahba Li (pictured, right) is joining the company to work as Cream’s director of development. In this role, Li will spearhead the company’s roster of talent-led development projects. Li has more than 30 credits to her name, having worked in a variety of production and post-production roles. Her credits include The Incredible Race for Food Network, Salvage Hunters for Discovery, Confucius Was a Foodie for National Geographic, and Playhouse Masters for TLC.


Jane Churchill-Smith (pictured, left) has also been appointed by the company in the role of development executive. Churchill-Smith has a history with Cream, having worked as a researcher on History of the Sitcom (CNN) before transitioning to freelance writing in development. In her new role with Cream, she will create and develop across genres for the company.


Both Li and Churchill-Smith will report directly to Cream vice president of development, James Farr.
