It will also air at 10:00pm ET on Bloomberg TV and be available on-demand on Bloomberg.com and YouTube.

This season on An Optimist’s Guide to the Planet, viewers join Coster-Waldau as he criss-crosses the globe to new locations; from the Andean mountaintops to the banks of the Ganges River, deep into the Ecuadorian rainforest, to the streets of Paris and more. Along the way, we’ll see extraordinary solutions including transforming trash into green energy and harvesting drinking water out of thin air, all to create a new pathway to a better future.

Season two premiere on October 22 kicks off as Coster-Waldau explores the delicate relationship and challenges of protecting biodiversity while meeting the needs of living in a modern world. Audiences will witness incredible stories of hope and action including Denmark’s efforts to restore coastal dead zones, India’s inspiring mangrove reforestation projects, and the voices of the Achuar people of Ecuador, who share their vision for a sustainable future.
